Although i am running an unmentionable rotation Williams Wednesday just has to be carried out with an SE. I have settled on using an old Proraso tub to hold the puck and it worked well. 2 Passes for a very nice finish today. Happy New Year All.

My planned week for Unmentionable razors came to an abrupt halt with the arrival of my Broman SE. In use similar to the Focus R48 but without the learning curve for fitting a blade. 3 passes for a fantastic finish. I should comment that as the soap was so slick....there was very little blade feel after the first pass but stubble was still evident in the shaved off lather.

Cold Water Rinse Williams Mug Soap Jayaruh #30 Schick Repeating Type C Schick Proline B-20 CWR Pinaud Clubman AS
What better way to start off a new year than with Williams Mug Shaving Soap. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #30 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Schick Repeating Type C razor with a Schick Proline blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
January 1, 2020 Happy New Year!!! I rang in the new year with a daily-double….with 2 iconic razors (at least to me) in their respective genres (unmentionable & SE). The unmentionable is unmentionable, but it's partner, the Gem Zinn Automatic had a relatively new (~3 shaves) Schick Proline B-20. The soap was my very first, Cella, and it was lathered with a relatively new badger brush. The Zinn took the second pass (and some light touch-up)....the result was DFS+ and well worthy of a new year!!!

Had a great shave today. First and second pass Gem Damaskeene Light cleanup and back of neck Henckels Rapide Both razors shared a new Gem SS blade. Cella lathered a bit wet on my two band SHD badger provided excellent cushion and glide.
9nein9: To like or not to like the like button? That is the question. Our society thrives off the like button it seems . I'm not sure if I like it or I don't like it.Just kind of got used to it .

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?
Dec 24, 2019 22:11:29 GMT -6
ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
