The razor, soap and brush were from Italy. It was a nice shave. What I’m finding with the Focus razor is that all blades feel about the same which for me is not always the case when they are used in their intended unmentioned razors. In the case of the Focus the blade is clamped so securely and there isn’t much freedom of angle, essentially not much can go wrong. If I were to fault this razor it would be on the messing around breaking blades bit. I’d rather use a stock blade rather than breaking one. But I cannot complain about the quality of the shave.
I have had some issues when learning with this razor, ie, a blunt new blade, finding the correct plate and then shave angle. i am now 12 shaves in with it and things are coming together. Today was a perfect shave, 3 passes for a BBS finish. I have been using the Arran products this week and they work very well for me. Have a great evening All
The Clan of Catchers - The Jayaruh Brushes - Williams Mug Shave Soap Club Nil Desperandum Auspice Deo
I'm working on my honing skill and technique. I'm not good yet. I haven't shaved since Thursday, I honed the wedge on Friday and wanted a few days growth before I shaved with the wedge. Today I did a 2 pass shave. First pass WTG I felt some tugging so my honing job was not good enough. Aside from the tugging, the first pass results were ok. The second pass was XTG and was a surprisingly smooth shave and results were surprisingly good, DFS overall with some BBS areas on my cheeks down to my jawline. So my honing is getting better but is not quite good enough yet. The MWF provided a nice slick lather for my face. Aside from the tugging, I got a 2 pass, nick and weeper free shave. The alum was almost silent, just a couple small areas of noise. I finished off with the Clubman Whiskey Woods A/S.
Overall, an pretty good shave. I think it's time to break out a couple of my current OC razors for the rest of OCtober.
RazoRock Syn. 24mm P & B Pall Mall Mongoose B3 Feather Proguard Massimo Dutti A/S Lotion
Today I shifted the on the go Proguard to the Mongoose. An easy relaxed Shave with excellent results on the face, but not quite there around the neck so need to get that right. Will move the blade along tomorrow to see how it fares in other Razors.
9nein9: To like or not to like the like button? That is the question. Our society thrives off the like button it seems . I'm not sure if I like it or I don't like it.Just kind of got used to it .

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?
Dec 24, 2019 22:11:29 GMT -6
ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
