Ever since Alan posted his Dutch Schick 500 a few months ago I had been looking for one. I have and love the Schick Golden 500, it is a mild razor that gives me a BBS shave. I have also acquired two Schick Type J1 injectors. The Schick 500 was a bit difficult to find, it seems they are not commonly available as the Golden 500.
This is one elegant hard shell case.
One classy set.
A photo of the back page of the user's manual.
This is the injector blade dispenser that came with the set. It appears that this is not the original dispenser that came with the set. The (made in Holland) Schick Ultra Platinium injector blades were made around the mid 1970's. Could it be remotely possible that this dispenser might have been packaged with this set? The dispenser includes all of the five injector blades.
A close up of the Schick 500. For cleaning purposes I prefer a chrome finish over a gold finish.
I was surprised to see the original factory dummy blade inside the razor. At this point I don't know if I should use the razor or keep it as is. In the end I will most likely be the first to use this Schick 500.
A very classy set.

That's a lovely razor, Joe. Go ahead and use it--I use mine and enjoy it a lot. Those Holland blades are a plus. Alan thinks they are the best ever.
It's my understanding that the clear plastic case version (your set) was released in the American market? Interesting how the American and European markets had distinct sets. I am definitely going to use it. If we don't use the vintage NOS razors that we own someone else eventually will. Steve, I wish I owned a Feather injector it's beyond rare!
That's a beautiful set, Joe, Its unused and its probably more than highly likely that's the original dispenser that's been packaged with this set.....
Looks as it came off the production line yesterday.......
The dispenser is definitely from the time period that the razor was released. The Schick 500 and my Personna Floating Head injector are the only two NOS injector sets that I own. Good luck on your next injector Billy!
